Nicaragua Los Papales

coffee

Origin: Nicaragua
Roast Level: Medium
Process: Washed

With Notes of: Almond, Baker's Chocolate, Graham Cracker

This single-estate coffee delivers a warm, balanced, and comforting cup - the very reason we keep a Nicaragua on our staples menu. So why offer another? We roasted this a tad lighter than our everyday crop which helps to emphasize its sweetness while maintaining a smoother, creamier body.

It's a classic profile done exceptionally well, with enough sweetness and depth to keep things interesting while remaining an easy-drinking addition to your daily coffee routine.

More about the bean: Finca Los Papales is located in Nicaragua's Jinotega region and has been operated by the Angelina Lopez family for more than a century. Generations of the family have worked the estate together, with both wet and dry milling performed on the property to maintain greater control over coffee quality from harvest through processing.

The coffee is grown between 1,300 and 1,700 meters above sea level and features Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, and Pacamara varieties. After harvest, the coffee is fully washed and milled on-site, resulting in the clean, balanced profile that allows its chocolate, almond, and honey sweetness to shine. Finca Los Papales is also Rainforest Alliance Certified.

Grind matters! In order to get the best extraction out of the brew method of your liking, select the appropriate grind setting. We'll take it from there. Not sure what setting to choose? Check our grind setting FAQ here.

We recommend storing whole bean and ground coffee in an airtight container, in a cool, dark place - like your kitchen cabinet, not the fridge!
