Lucky you, the Roaster’s Pick you loved last March is back. Pot of Gold hails from Flores and offers an unmistakable Indonesian coffee profile. If you’ve been with us a while, you might remember when Flores was a menu staple!
More about the bean: This coffee comes from Flores Bajawa Ngura in Indonesia, grown on the slopes of the Inerie Volcano in the Ngada district. The region’s volcanic soil and elevation contribute to its smooth body and syrupy, chocolaty notes.
Producers in Bajawa work through local cooperatives to cultivate and process their coffee. This lot is wet hulled, known locally as Giling Basah, a traditional Indonesian method that creates low acidity, full body, and deep sweetness. Grown at around 1,220 meters and composed of Catimor, Timor Hybrids, and Typica, this coffee reflects the rich tradition of Flores in every cup.
