French Press Cold Brew Guide
Home cold brewing is one of our favorite things to talk about. It's a super approachable way to let your inner coffee nerd out! We like to brew using a 7:1 ratio and a coarse grind. Cold brewing is all about slowing down the extraction and producing a coffee concentrate.
- What you'll need:
- French Press
- Scale
- Cold water (500 grams)
- Coffee (71 grams ground coarse)
- Step One
- Weigh out your coffee
- 71 grams ground coarse or French Press
- Pour your coffee into your press
- Step Two
- Zero your scale out.
- Begin pouring your cold water onto your bed of coffee. Pour up to 500 grams.
- Step Three
- Let coffee soak overnight or up to 12 hours.
- Step Four
- Simply press the plunger down to keep the ground coffee on the bottom of the brewer.
- Step Five
- Pour your brew into another pitcher or jar.
- To serve, you'll want to cut this with water/ milk at a 2:1 ratio.
