Who’s ready to take a ride on the Merry-Go-Round?! With smooth, balanced sweetness and a perfect touch of acidity, this medium roast promises a flavorful ride. Grown on a decades-old estate in Western Kenya, the daily operations of the Cahi Estate have been handed off to second generation growers to ensure the sustainability of specialty coffee growing in the region. With meticulous attention to detail, this coffee was hand-sorted and washed using clean river water before drying for two weeks on raised beds. Once dried, the coffee was once again hand-sorted to deliver only the highest quality beans.
More about the bean: This Kenyan crop underwent a washed process prior to drying and roasting. With a washed process, coffee cherries are placed in water after picking.The fruity flesh surrounding the seeds (or coffee beans as we know them) is removed from each individual bean by pressing it through a series of screens and agitated water in an effort to ‘wash’ the bean free of its fruity casing.This process results in classic and clean coffee flavor and aroma.
